The "ABRAHAM: Out of One, Many" peacebuilding exhibition will has its U.S. tour premiere with Tri-Faith Initiative hosted at Temple Israel. Join us for this grand opening. The exhibit will be at Temple Israel from September 8 - October 18.

The program begins at 6:30pm, and will be followed by a reception. Special guest speakers will include celebrated participating Iraqi contemporary artist Qais Al Sindy, Rev. Paul-Gordon Chandler, President/CEO of CARAVAN (the int'l peacebuilding non-profit that has organized the exhibition), Senator John McCollister of Omaha, Imam Jamal Daoudi and Rabbi Brian Stoller, among others.

Exhibition Information:
“ABRAHAM: Out of One, Many” is a timely artistic exploration on living harmoniously, inspired by Abraham; the common ancestor of three globally acclaimed contemporary Middle Eastern artists from the Muslim, Christian and Jewish traditions.

The exhibition involves three globally acclaimed Middle Eastern contemporary artists – Sinan Hussein, Qais Al Sindy, Shai Azoulay - from Muslim, Christian and Jewish faith traditions. Each artist has created work that focuses on how Abraham's example that can guide our world today toward living harmoniously.

The exhibition’s global tour is for 24 months in Europe and the USA through mid-2021. The exhibition premiered its tour in Rome on 3 May 2019 at the historic church of St Paul’s Within the Walls (May 3-June 9, 2019). Following being displayed in Paris, France at the American Cathedral (June 18-July 28, 2019), it is currently being showcased in Edinburgh, Scotland during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe (at St. John's Episcopal Church on Princes St), before beginning to tour the USA.
